God Bless America

God Bless America, Land that I love. Stand beside her, and guide her Thru the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies, To the oceans, white with foam God bless America, My home sweet home.

God, please do bless America.  Father, not with the blessings of this world; the blessings of health, wealth and power.  Not with so called blessings, as the people of this nation would recognize.  Rather, Father please bless this nation with the True blessings.

God, bless this nation with an understanding of the evil that we have embraced; the evil of murdering millions of children, the evil of "each one doing what is right in his own eyes," the evil of racial hatred, envy of our neighbors, sexual immorality, gluttony and love of self.  Bless this nation with an awareness of its sinful nature.

Father, please bless this nation with a repentance from that sin.  God, we ask that you turn this nation back from its sin, to you.  Let us understand that we are unable to cleanse ourselves on our own.  Bless America with an awareness of its need for a Savior.

God, bless this nation with a certain knowledge of the Truth; a knowledge that Jesus is God, and that He is the only hope for this country.  Give this country a longing for the cleansing that can only come from our Messiah.  And, Father, bless this nation with the knowledge that we owe You a debt for the sins which we have committed.  Give America the knowledge that Jesus came to this sinful Earth to die in order to pay that debt that we have, for our sins.

Father, bless this land with a Church who understands its sin.  Bless this nation with the Church's understanding our own sin of "sleeping at the wheel"s; the sin of disobedience of your Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20.)  Bless this country with us, Your Church, knowing that we are hating our neighbors by refusing to warn them of their sin (Ezekiel 33:6.)  God, bless America with a Church repenting of our sins, turning from our wicked ways and seeking Your Kingdom, and Your Righteousness. So, God, that we will go forth, boldly proclaiming Your Gospel, making disciples of this nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that You have commanded us.
